Starting May 1, 2009We had a great success with the turn out dentist and their staff to choose the Dental Professional Choice Award. We had so much fun watching people walk, pause, and evaluate every smiling patient. Every judge searched each photo to see if it contains the elements necessary to make it that “winning smile”, and when the night was over, we tallied their votes. It was very close as everyone has such beautiful smiles but in the end, the person chosen was John B. There was a three way tie for runner ups and they are: David M., Alexis A., and Hattie L.
On October 13 and 17, our Photo Shoot of the Top Finalist was held at our office. However, instead of being greeted by Merry, Rhonda or Chris, our friendly front desk staff, they were instead dazzled by Idol Smile banner!
Patients and parents waiting for their turn in front of the camera, spent time chatting with our team and each other. Upbeat "runway music" and the happy chatter of patients and parents as they recognized friends from school and their neighbors all made for great background noise. Breadsticks and pizza were offered to keep everyone's energy running on high.
Every patient had a chance to "strike a pose" against the background as professional photographer, Rene Growney, caught their best angles.
Group shots were be taken too, and these can then be checked out in our office since these "celebrities" will be promoting our "A Season and a Reason for Giving Food Drive". After viewing all of the photos taken that day, we selected the best photo to be submitted and put on our website for voting. Each of those patients will also be given a 5x7 of their best photo.
